(b. Ibadan) is a Nigerian American designer/artist/writer/researcher based in Berlin, by way of Chicago. Her independent practice draws from poetics and critical thought to explore spatial themes on form, environment, agency, and sensuality. She develops sculptures, texts, and drawings presented through exhibitions, lectures, and publications. She works on personal and commissioned projects worldwide.
A Fulbright Independent Scholar, she holds professional and post-professional degrees from Harvard Graduate School of Design and Iowa State College of Design. Previously, she has worked with SOM (Chicago, NYC), The Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts (Chicago), The Funambulist Magazine (Paris), Park Books (Zurich), Black Embodiment Studio (Seattle), and Scapegoat: Architecture, Landscape, and Political Economy (Toronto), amongst others. Her writing has been published and presented by Art Papers, MIT Press with Amanda Williams Studio / Storefront for Art & Architecture, HKW (Haus der Kulturen der Welt), the 2019 Chicago Architecture Biennial, DISC: Media, Technology, Environments, and Yale Paprika. Awards, residencies, and fellowships include Fulbright Germany, High Desert Test Sites by Andrea Zittel, Design Academy Saaleck, and Luminary Arts.
